My Story

In my mid-20s, I was diagnosed with PCOS. Along with it came weight gain and cycles that felt completely out of my control. Through a well-known weight loss company, I managed to lose 20lbs — but deep down I knew the journey was never just about numbers on a scale.

By my late 30s, my period had become even more erratic and unpredictable, and once again I felt disconnected from my body. In my early 40s, I was told I was entering perimenopause — and with it came more changes, more challenges, and yes, more weight gain.

Move with Kirty was born in 2021 as a way to share my love of Pilates and movement with women everywhere. But over the last few years, its meaning has shifted into something far deeper.

At first, movement was about weight loss. Over time, it became something much more — a way to reconnect with myself, to honour the constant changes of my body and to trust its wisdom through every stage of life.

That shift is at the heart of what Move with Kirty stands for today. It’s not just about Pilates, and it’s not just about exercise. It’s about learning to move with your body — not against it. It’s about honouring your unique rhythm, embracing both strength and softness, and finding a way of moving that supports you through cycles, perimenopause, menopause, and beyond.

Move with Kirty is a space for women to trust their bodies, to move through life with grace and energy, and to become the teacher of their own body.
